Loon's Echo Wilderness Retreat

Loon's Echo--A Wilderness Retreat-- is tucked away in its own secluded area on the edge of the wilderness.

We are located on the chain of lakes of the wild and scenic Vermilion River (Vermilion River Lake) and only a few miles from the B.W.C.A. Wilderness and Voyageur National Park. There are numerous waterfalls and rapids within a few hours paddle of the retreat. You can hike or snoeshoe our 20 miles of trails. There are over 100 miles of abandoned logging roads that offer additional hiking and excellent mountain biking opportunities.

Points of interest include: Table Rock Falls, Vermilion Falls, Vermilion River Gorge, Astrid Lake Trails, and Devils' Cascade Trail. Majestic bluffs, hidden lakes, waterfalls, berry patches and a canoe paddle to ancient Indian pictographs will lure you onto the water and into the wilderness.
